GHC Programs Overview

Interprofessonial Education and Collaboration for Geriatrics (IECG)

Teams of two or three students from different healthcare professional programs are matched with an older adult living in a low-income community housing site. Students will meet on six half days during the academic year, including an introduction/ program overview, three educational sessions, one visit at the older adult’s residence, and a wrap-up session. The session with the older adult is facilitated by a faculty mentor, and will be followed with a brief academic lecture and reflection on Home Safety.
