Samantha Valasek, OTD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy at the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She works with clients with chronic conditions at the USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice to support the development of health-promoting habits and routines that can lead to healthier, happier, and more meaningful lives. Dr. Valasek also teaches in the course Occupational Therapy in Primary Health Care Environments and manages care coordination between occupational therapy and the Keck department of Family Medicine.
Within the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program, Dr. Valasek is on the geriatric assessment team at Eisner Health in downtown Los Angeles. In collaboration with the care team, she evaluates the needs of older adults and provides recommendations, education, and training that promote health, safety, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.
